Here's exactly what happens from the moment you call us to the moment you walk away with a storm shelter in your yard. No hidden steps. No surprise charges. No salesman in a tie.
Call or text 214-417-4340 and you'll get a quick response from a real human — usually Rick himself. No phone tree, no "please hold," no offshore call center. Ask whatever you want: sizing, pricing, soil concerns, what your yard can handle, installation access. We'll answer straight.
If you want to move forward, you just say "put me on the schedule." That's the whole transaction.
A few basic pieces of information — your address, your preferred shelter size, a phone number we can reach you on — and you're scheduled. No deposit required. No contract to sign. No 47-page PDF to initial.
Sometime between booking and install day, we'll set up a free site visit. That's so we can meet you in person and make sure we have the space to maneuver our equipment onto your property safely.
A couple of days before install day, we reach out to confirm everything's still a go on your end. Weather, access, any last-minute changes — we'd rather know now than show up to a surprise.
The price we quote you at booking is the price you pay when the job is done.
Our crew arrives early. First order of business is precision excavation with a mini-excavator — clean walls, level floor, correct depth. Most dirt goes into a staging pile right next to the hole; we'll use most of it again for backfill.
~ 60 Minutes
The shelter rides in on a flatbed. We rig it with chains to a crane and lower the whole unit — concrete, rebar, door, vents — into the hole as one piece. It's not assembled on site. It's already a vault when it arrives.
~ 45 Minutes
Once it's in, we level it and seat the seal between the base and lid with sealant. Vents are installed. Door is tested. Everything gets checked twice before the soil goes back.
~ 30 Minutes
Soil goes back around the shelter, packed tight. This isn't just landscaping — the surrounding earth is part of the structural system. A properly backfilled shelter is locked in place by thousands of pounds of soil pressure on every side.
~ 45 Minutes
Before we leave, we walk you through your shelter: how the door opens and locks, how the vents work, how to use the 3-point lock from the inside, and what the warranty covers. You ask the questions, we give you straight answers, and then the job is done.
That's when we take payment. Cash, check, or card. The full price we quoted you at booking — not a penny more.
~ 20 Minutes
We'd rather tell you this up front than spring it on you. If the terrain requires us to break out a jackhammer, we charge an hourly rate for that work. It's rare, but it happens in certain parts of the region. We'll let you know the moment we find out.
The number we give you on the phone is the number on the invoice. Rock clause aside, we don't re-price mid-install.
Someone answers the phone. If they don't know the answer, they'll get it — not guess at it.
No "buy before midnight" deals. No commission-hungry closer calling you back. If you want a shelter, we'll install one. If you don't, that's fine too.
No form to fill out, no spam email sequence, no "we'll reach out within 24 hours." Just pick up the phone.
